Physiotherapy
- Physiotherapy is an evidence based (we focus on techniques proven to work) clinical health science and profession that aims to rehabilitate and improve people with movement, pain, neurologcial, musculoskeletal or cardiothoracic disorders by using evidence-based, natural methods such as exercise, hands on techniques, therapeutic equipment, motivation, cognitive behavioural therapy, adapted equipment, education, physical techniques, and advocacy.
-
Physiotherapists study medical science subjects very similar to a medical student such as anatomy, neuroscience, pathology, kinesiology and physiology in addition to biomechanics and Physiotherapy specific subjects to develop skills and attitudes necessary for an accurate diagnosis, effective treatment and rehabilitation of patients.
-
The Physiotherapist works in health care systems in hospitals, private practices, sporting clubs, disability centres and community centres. We treat new borns to the elderly and even treat your favourite pets and race horses !!
-
All Physiotherapists in Australia are required to be registered by law. Registration as a Physiotherapist is only possible after completion of a university degree in Physiotherapy or health sciences with a Physiotherapy course.

Physiotherapists strive to improve the quality of your life.
